Faith Hope & Love provides support for children in crisis. Our goal is to expand Faith Hope & Love and our Duffels for Kids, BlastPacks, and New Beginnings programs across the state of Wisconsin, in an effort to reach as many children in crisis situations as possible. We are constantly exploring and testing a variety of new programs to achieve this goal. Over the years it has become more and more apparent to us that there is great need in our community and that it doesn’t go away, it only continues to grow. It is our hope to work towards closing that gap so that no child is left without being provided basic health and wellness and most importantly, we are catching faith, giving hope, and bringing love to children who otherwise may have lost their faith, hope and love.

ActionCOACH of Elm Grove has made giving back to the community a part of its corporate culture. The leadership of the firm is involved with various organizations and programs that are far-reaching throughout South Eastern Wisconsin. Coaches offer a pro bono coaching program that works with non profits to enhance their business skills and results. ActionCOACH of Elm Grove has donated its services to the following non-profit organizations.
WOW Workforce Development, Inc.
The WOW Workforce Development Board is made up of over 20 volunteer members, who are appointed by the County Executive and/or County Chairperson. The Board is employer led and is comprised of members from local businesses, educational institutions, workforce and labor, community-based organizations, economic development, and one-stop center partners. WOW Workforce Development Board members develop important workforce policies and explore innovative best practices to advance the quality and effectiveness of residents and businesses of Waukesha, Ozaukee, and Washington Counties, Wisconsin.
The WOW Workforce Development Board’s responsibilities include:
- Develop and modify the local strategic workforce development plan in partnership with local elected officials
- Designate a fiscal and administrative agent
- Designate one-stop center operators
- Identify and select eligible providers of training services and youth activities through contract awards
- Develop and approve budgets necessary to carry out local duties; solicit and accept grants and donations from sources other than federal funds
- Oversee and certify programs and services in the areas one-stop system
- Coordinate local workforce investment activities with economic development strategies
- Promote the participation of private sector employers in the statewide workforce investment system
The WOW Workforce Development Board provides career, training, and supportive services to WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) eligible adults. Dynamic Workforce Solutions is the service provider for Waukesha County and WOW Workforce Development, Inc. is the service provider in Ozaukee and Washington Counties. Case Managers work with adults on career planning, basic skills training, job search assistance, job search skills, and employer-linked training. Through the utilization of individual training accounts and other funding sources, adults are encouraged to attain self-sustaining wages and are assisted by staff in exploring these occupations. Eligible adults may also receive supportive service (e.g., childcare assistance, transportation assistance). The quality of services are continually assessed and adapted to meet the needs of both job seekers and employers.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding research, finding cures and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
Since 1949 LLS has been on the forefront of blood cancer advances such as chemotherapies and stem cell transplantation leading the way to the targeted therapies and immunotherapies that are saving thousands of lives today.
LLS is changing the landscape of cancer with more than 300 active research projects that explore different avenues of new and adventurous research; ones with promise and ones that will save lives not someday, but today.
Whenever we talk about cancer, we always use the same word. Someday. Someday there will be a cure. Someday we won’t lose the people we love. But when is someday? With LLS’s research partnerships and collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, patients support services and advocates working for blood cancer patients everywhere, someday is today.

The mission of Milwaukee Achiever Literacy Services is to provide education, life skills training and workforce development instruction for adult learners in an atmosphere of mutual acceptance and respect. Learners are inspired and empowered to enrich their lives and their communities.
Milwaukee Achiever Literacy Services is an adult literacy program founded in 1983 by Alverno College, Cardinal Stritch University, and Mount Mary University. By providing a caring and supportive environment for learning and personal growth, Milwaukee Achiever is empowering learners to achieve education, career and life goals every day! In 2009, Milwaukee Achiever was accredited by ProLiteracy, a nonprofit educational organization that evaluates and supports literacy organizations across the country and around the world.
We specialize in one-on-one tutoring and small group instruction for adults who are working to improve their lives and their communities. Through education, we help them create a new beginning and achieve their goals.
Volunteers are the heart of our mission, helping us serve the more than 800 learners who come to us every year for academic tutoring, life skills training, and instructional programs that prepare them for continuing education and employment.

Local First Milwaukee
How Local First Milwaukee Began...
In 2006, a small group of like-minded independently owned Milwaukee businesses began to meet to discuss how to make Milwaukee a more sustainable community and how to highlight the unique character of our local businesses. A commitment grew from those conversations to create a network that could advocate to the community all of the benefits of choosing local businesses first. The founding members named their group Our Milwaukee because they felt the name demonstrated the pride they felt about their City.
The network grew quickly and by 2011, with more than 200 member businesses and non-profits, a name change to Local First Milwaukee helped strengthen both our identity and mission.
Part of our advocacy work is to demonstrate how dollars spent locally effectively impact the local economy. Studies show that every $1 spent at a locally owned business, more than 68¢ stays local and impacts the local economy. Compare that same $1 spent at a chain store and only 43¢ remains in Milwaukee.

Interfaith Senior Programs
Interfaith Senior Programs is a faith-based, community-centered 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Waukesha County, Wisconsin. The mission of Interfaith Senior Programs, Inc., founded in 1981, is to help older adults, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers live dignified, meaningful, and engaged lives in the community while maintaining their independence for as long as possible.
Our programs reduce isolation for older adults and mobilize volunteers to make important contributions to community needs. The agency is the result of a successful 2007 merger between RSVP of Waukesha County started in Waukesha County in 1977, and Interfaith Caregiving Network incorporated in 1991.
Collectively the agency brings more than 54 years of experience to the community, serves over 1,000 seniors and adults with disabilities each year, and coordinates more than 2,300 volunteers.
RSVP volunteers respond to critical needs in Waukesha County including nutrition, housing, transportation, education, healthcare, and social isolation. Each year RSVP volunteers provide approximately 25,000 hours of service to 19 schools and 23 government and nonprofit organizations.
Faith In Action services are provided to seniors (60+) and adults (18+) with disabilities to assist in maintaining independent living. Transportation is the most requested service, and the program coordinates approximately 4,500 rides to doctor appointments and food pantries each year.
Safe Babies Healthy Families
Safe Babies Healthy Families is a new organization created by a merger of two long-term, successful agencies. Pregnancy Support Connection (also formerly known as the UP Connection) and Healthy Families of Waukesha County, merged to establish Safe Babies Healthy Families, effective on January 1, 2012. This merger into a single entity increases the capacity to provide more and higher quality service to the community than either agency could have accomplished individually.
The new organization will make it possible to provide a continuum of service model that serves two populations – isolated, abused and pregnant young women and young, at-risk families who lack financial, health and social supports. Our community is well-served when prevention and early intervention services are provided to a high-risk population, increasing the chances that its members will succeed and become productive in our society.
Our shared vision of breaking the cycle of child abuse, neglect and poverty through education, support and resources made the merger an ideal way to provide seamless services to at-risk families and their children.
ACTS Housing's vision is that each block inside the church neighborhoods we serve is made up of at least 60% homeowners who are self-empowered. Self-empowered families have access to low-cost money, are entrepreneurial, build wealth through home ownership, and live in safe, sanitary, and affordable housing. ACTS Housing's mission is to promote affordable homeownership that fosters a low-income family's ability to be self-empowered, thereby reducing community blight, neighborhood deterioration, and poverty. The strategy of ACTS is to generate homeownership opportunities for inner-city residents with a targeted neighborhood so that an entire community can be transformed and sustained.
ACTS has traditionally worked with low-income families and individuals who were denied access to the home ownership market forvarious reasons. Our staff works with families and individuals who have made mistakes and poor decisions concerning their personal finances. Each Specialist is trained as a credit counselor in order to assist clients with their efforts to become qualified for bank purchase loans. Staff assists each participant with a credit repair road map that leads to solid credit and the ability to acquire bank mortgage financing.
Our work has affected over 5,000 individuals, many of them children, by providing opportunities to learn responsibility, pride, and self-confidence. Studies have found that children living in owner occupied homes perform better in school. Neighborhoods where families are homeowners form more stable communities.
